Bubba Watson (ranked 5th by Golf Predictor) won the WGC - HSBC Champions on the European/US PGA Tour.
The big hitting American looked to have blown his chances with a bogey on sixteen and a double on seventeen, but made up for it in spectacular fashion on the par five final hole. Watson found a greenside bunker in two and holed out for eagle to force a play-off with Tim Clark. The American took the title with a birdie on the first extra hole, giving him an impressive -3 total for the eighteenth on Sunday! Our top ranked player, Adam Scott, finished in tied 12th place and we only had six of the top fourteen plus ties (6/19) in total.
Nick Taylor (ranked 102nd by Golf Predictor) won the Sanderson Farms Championship on the US PGA Tour. The 26 year old Canadian won his first tour title just two months after securing his PGA Tour card. Taylor showed admirable composure in just his seventh tour start as a pro to come from four shots back and secure the title. Our top ranked player, Ben Martin, finished in tied 29th and we had only five of the top fourteen plus ties (5/19).
