Brooks Koepka (ranked 21st by Golf Predictor) won the Turkish Airlines Open pres. by Ministry of Youth & Sport on the European PGA Tour. The 24
year old American won maiden title with a closing bogey free 65 (-7), which including some impressive putting. Koepka won by one over Ian Poulter, who will be kicking himself for throwing away a six shot halfway lead. Our top ranked player, Sergio Garcia, finished in tied 25th and we had ten of the top nineteen plus ties (10/24).
Charley Hoffman (ranked 4th by Golf Predictor) won the OHL Classic at Mayakoba on the US PGA Tour. The 37 year old American won his first tournament in over four years in Mexico. Hoffman won by a single shot, despite being completely stymied by a tree on the final hole. However, a bogey proved to be enough when his playing partner and nearest competitor, Shawn Stefani, chunked his third shot to also finish with a five. Our top ranked player, Ben Martin, missed the cut and in an event which is usually hard to predict, we only had five of the top sixteen plus ties (5/22).
