2019 - Week 22 Predictions/Statistics Online

The predictions and statistics for this week, the Belgian Knockout (European PGA Tour) and the Memorial Tournament pres. by Nationwide (US PGA Tour), are now available on Golf Predictor. As usual, there's a strong field for Jack's tournament, with twelve of the world's top twenty teeing it up in Ohio. As to be expected, the field for the Belgian Knockout is not as stellar, with host Thomas Pieters one of just three of the top one hundred in the world who are teeing it up in the strokeplay/matchplay hybrid format.

2019 - Week 21 Winners

Bernd Wiesberger (ranked 81st by Golf Predictor) won the Made in Denmark pres. by FREJA on the European PGA Tour. The 33 year old Austrian won his first tour title in two years in a final day battle with Robert MacIntyre. After being nip and tuck for the first fifteen holes on Sunday, Wiesberger went two ahead after a MacIntyre bogey on seventeen. However, the Austrian got in trouble up the last, but a closing bogey was enough to give the injury stricken Wiesberger the victory. Our top ranked player, defending champion Matt Wallace, finished in tied 41st and we had only five of the top eighteen plus ties (5/24) in the wind affected event. 

Kevin Na ranked 14th by Golf Predictor) won the Charles Schwab Challenge on the US PGA Tour. The 35 year old American won his third tour title with a commanding final day performance. Leading by two shots overnight, Na played impressive frontrunning golf, hitting an impressive amount of greens and putting well. That allowed him to win by four strokes in the end from Tony Finau. Our top ranked player, Justin Rose, never really featured and finished in tied 58th. Overall, we had twelve of the top nineteen plus ties (12/26).

2019 - Week 21 Predictions/Statistics Online

The predictions and statistics for this week, the Made in Denmark pres. by FREJA (European PGA Tour) and the Charles Schwab Challenge (US PGA Tour), are now available on Golf Predictor. For a week after a major, there is a strong field in Texas, where nine of the top twenty in the world will have to battle home favourite and former champion Jordan Spieth for the title. That doesn't leave much top talent for the European Tour event, but Matt Wallace is back to defend his title in Denmark.

2019 - Week 20 Winners

Brooks Koepka (ranked 1st by Golf Predictor) won the US PGA Championship on the European/US PGA Tour. The 29 year old American successfully defended a major title for a second time with an impressive performance at Bethpage. Koepka spread eagled the field with an opening 63 and was imperious over the first three days, building up a large lead. However, he stalled on the back nine Sunday and was almost caught by Dustin Johnson. After almost reeling him in, Johnson then bogeyed twice late on, allowing Koepka to claim his fourth major in eight starts by two shots. Koepka was our top ranked golfer and we had eight of the top sixteen plus ties (8/22) on the brutal layout.

2019 - Week 20 Predictions/Statistics Online

The predictions and statistics for this week, the US PGA Championship (European/US PGA Tour), are now available on Golf Predictor. The second major of the year heads to Bethpage for the first running of the event in its new slot in May. All eyes will once again be on Tiger Woods as the only possible winner of the grand slam this year! It'll be interesting to see how this new condensed major calendar affects the tournament. A great field has assembled in New York, with the entire top one hundred in the world teeing it up on the tough layout.

2019 - Week 19 Winners

Marcus Kinhult (ranked 69th by Golf Predictor) won the Betfred British Masters on the European PGA Tour. The 22 year old Swede claimed his maiden tour title with a resilient final day performance at Hillside Golf Club. After bogeying fifteen and sixteen on Sunday to fall one back, Kinhult rebounded with two closing birdies to pip his more fancied opponents to the title. Our top ranked player, host Tommy Fleetwood, finished in tied 8th, and we had eight of the top fifteen plus ties (8/22).

Sung-Hoon Kang (ranked 36th by Golf Predictor) won the AT&T Byron Nelson on the US PGA Tour. The 31 year old South Korean won his maiden tour title at the birdie fest in Texas. After rain softened the defenceless course, Kang won the shoot out with a bunch of timely birdies on the back nine. Our top ranked player, Brooks Koepka, finished in 4th and we had only three of the top seventeen plus ties (3/19*) in total in the weather affected event.

The predictions and statistics for this week, the Betfred British Masters (European PGA Tour) and the AT&T Byron Nelson (US PGA Tour), are now available on Golf Predictor. There aren't many big names teeing it up in Texas this week, where world number three Brooks Koepka joins local hero Jordan Spieth as the biggest draws at the Byron Nelson. New host Tommy Fleetwood hasn't managed to attract many of the big European names to the event in England, where the tournament has moved to yet another new course. This doesn't make the task of forecasting it any easier! 

2019 - Week 18 Winners

Mikko Korhonen (ranked 16th by Golf Predictor) won the Volvo China Open on the European PGA Tour. The 38 year old Finn won his second tour title with an impressive putting display on the final day in Beijing. In an exciting final day battle with overnight leader Benjamin Hebert and last week's winner Jorge Campillo, Korhonen used his flat stick to great effect, defeating Hebert on the first extra hole of a play-off with a birdie. Our top ranked player, home favourite Hao-Tong Li, finished 4th and we had eleven of the top nineteen plus ties (11/28*).

Max Homa (ranked 118th by Golf Predictor) won the Wells Fargo Championship on the US PGA Tour. The 28 year old American put his travails behind him with an impressive display at Quail Hollow. The world number 417 held off some big names, including course specialist Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose and Rickie Fowler and survived a weather delay to win by three shots. McIlroy was out top ranked player and he finished in tied 8th. Overall, we had thirteen of the top eighteen plus ties (13/23**) in total on the testing layout.
