2010 - Week 44 Winners

Matteo Manassero (ranked 32nd by Golf Predictor) won the Castello Masters Costa Azahar on the European PGA Tour. The 17 year old Italian phenomenon became the youngest ever winner on tour by over a year with his accomplished victory. Poor old Sergio Garcia missed the cut on his return to golf on his home track after a two month break. Our top ranked player, Richard Green, finished in tied 30th, and we had eleven of the top twenty three plus ties (11/29) in total.

Jonathan Byrd (ranked 33rd by Golf Predictor) won the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open on the US PGA Tour in spectacular fashion. The 32 year old American won with an ace on the fourth extra hole in a three man play-off. Martin Laird and Cameron Percy no doubt regret deciding to play one more hole in fading light! I believe that this is the first ever tournament settled with a hole in one. Our top ranked player, Hunter Mahan, finished in tied 50th, but we had four of the top eleven plus ties (4/13) in total.
