Louis Oosthuizen (ranked 4th by Golf Predictor) won the Volvo Golf Champions on the European PGA Tour. The home favourite left it late to defend his title, birdieing his final two holes to pip his compatriot Branden Grace by a single shot! Our top ranked player, Charl Schwartzel, finished tied 15th and we had ten of the top fifteen plus ties (10/17) in the restricted field event.
In the first full field event of the year, Jimmy Walker (ranked 9th by Golf Predictor) won the Sony Open in Hawaii. The 34 year old American gave himself an early birthday present by securing his second trophy in six starts with a late surge. Walker finished with three birdies in his last four holes to pip Chris Kirk by a single shot. Our top ranked player, Adam Scott, faded on the back nine after a strong start on Sunday and finished tied eighth. Overall, we had eight of the top eight plus ties (8/19).
