2015 - Week 26 Winners

Bernd Wiesberger (ranked 5th by Golf Predictor) won the Alstom Open de France on the European PGA Tour. The 29 year old Austrian won his third tour title with a great final round on the tough Le Golf National layout. Wiesberger came from three shots back with a fantastic closing 65 (-7) to win by three shots from James Morrison. Our top ranked player, Martin Kaymer, finished with a double bogey for 4th place and we had eight of the top fifteen plus ties (8/19) in total.

Danny Lee (ranked 46th by Golf Predictor) won the Greenbrier Classic on the US PGA Tour. The 24 year old South Korean born Kiwi won his first tour title in a four man play-off with Richard Streb, Kevin Kisner and David Hearn. Streb actually putted half of his round with a wedge after accidentally breaking his putter on the ninth. Incredibly, he proceeded to birdie five holes on the back nine with the wedge, with just the single clumsy bogey on the par five seventeenth. That put him in the play-off as no one broke away on the bunched final day leaderboard. However it wasn't to be for Streb (who I had tipped and backed at 60/1!) as he was eliminated with Kisner at the first extra hole. Lee won at the second extra hole with a par after both found trouble off the tee. Our top ranked player, Bubba Watson, finished strongly for tied 13th place and in an event that tends to be hard to predict, we only had six of the top thirteen plus ties (6/21) in total.
