2019 - Week 31 Predictions/Statistics Online

The predictions and statistics for this week, the Wyndham Championship (US PGA Tour), are now available on Golf Predictor. There are not many big names competing in America  this week, with the Wyndham Championship coming right before the play-offs and after two big tournaments. However, there is a host of middle tier guys trying to improve/maintain their place in the FedEx Cup standings ahead of those play-offs.

There is no event on the European PGA Tour this week.   

2019 - Week 30 Winners

Brooks Koepka (ranked 1st by Golf Predictor) won the WGC - Bridgestone Invitational on the European/US PGA Tour. The 29 year old American won his first WGC title and second title of the season in the tournament's first staging in Memphis. Despite only arriving at the course less than an hour before his tee time, Koepka won easily, finishing three shots clear of Webb Simpson. The final round shoot-out with his final round playing partner Rory McIlroy never materialised, with the Northern Irishman closing another up and down tournament with a poor performance. Koepka was our top ranked player and we had twelve of the top twenty plus ties (12/23) in total.

Colin Murikawa (ranked 7th by Golf Predictor) won the Barracuda Championship on the US PGA Tour. The 22 year old American rookie secured his first tour title with an impressive finish in the modified Stableford event. Morikawa birdied four of the last five holes to win by three points, thus realising his early potential. Our top ranked player, Martin Kaymer finished in tied 31st and we had eleven of the top eighteen plus ties (11/24*) in the second tier event. 


*Vegas withdrew due to the arrival of his new son, promoting Sloan to the top 24 of the GP Rankings.

The predictions and statistics for this week, the WGC - FedEx St. Jude Invitational (European/US PGA Tour) and the Barracuda Championship (US PGA Tour), are now available on Golf Predictor. While there aren't many big golfing names teeing it up in Reno this week, the WGC makes up for it with the vast majority of the world's top fifty golfers!

2019 - Week 29 Winners

Shane Lowry (ranked 36th by Golf Predictor) won The Open Championship on the European/US PGA Tour. The 32 year old Irishman delighted the huge home crowd with a brilliant victory at Royal Portrush, which was hosting the tournament for the first time since 1951. Leading by four overnight after a brilliant 63 on Saturday, Lowry was never really threatened in the extremely difficult conditions on Sunday and won by six shots in the end. Our top ranked player, Brooks Koepka, started poorly on Sunday, but still finished tied 4th and we had eleven of the top twenty plus ties (11/29) in the weather affected tournament. 

Jim Herman (ranked 96th by Golf Predictor) won the Barbasol Championship on the US PGA Tour. The 41 year old American overcome some poor form to win his second tour title in Kentucky. Despite only making Sunday twice in nineteen events this season, Herman came out on top by one stroke at the birdie fest, pipping Kelly Kraft to the title. Our top ranked player, Jhonattan Vegas, finished in 64th and we had seven of the top eighteen plus ties (7/21) in total in this second tier event.

The predictions and statistics for this week, The Open Championship (European/US PGA Tour) and the Barbasol Championship (US PGA Tour) are now available on Golf Predictor. The excitement is mounting this side of the pond for the most venerable major of them all, which returns to Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland for the first time since 1951. World number one Brooks Koepka leads the strong field and he will be aiming to add the claret jug to his burgeoning major trophy cabinet! Meanwhile, a second string field is once again lining up for the US PGA Tour event in Kentucky.

2019 - Week 28 Winners

Bernd Wiesberger (ranked 15th by Golf Predictor) won the ASI Scottish Open on the European PGA Tour. The 33 year old Austrian won his second title of the season with a play-off win in Scotland. In a week of low scoring, overnight leader Wiesberger defeated the fast finishing Benjamin Hebert with a par on the third extra hole, after the Frenchman had missed a number of chances to win. Our top ranked player, Rory McIlroy, finished tied 34th and we only had twelve of the top twenty plus ties (12/25).   

Dylan Frittelli (ranked 20th by Golf Predictor) won the John Deere Classic on the US PGA Tour. The 29 year old South African won his first tour title on at TPC Deere Run. Frittelli hunted down the fast finishing Russell Henley with a strong front nine and overtook him with a couple of birdies after the turn. Frittelli then finished solidly to win by two shots in the end. Our top ranked player, Sungjae Im finished in tied 26th and we had ten of the top eighteen plus ties (10/25).

2019 - Week 28 Predictions/Statistics Online

The predictions and statistics for this week, the ASI Scottish Open (European PGA Tour) and the John Deere Classic (US PGA Tour), are now available on Golf Predictor. It's the final week before The Open Championship and it's the last chance for a competitive tune up. There is a fairly strong field playing in Scotland this year, with four of the top fifteen in the world rankings hoping to get some competitive links practice before heading to Portrush. However, there aren't many big names in Illinois, where there is none of the top fifty in the world teeing it up at TPC Deere Run.

2019 - Week 27 Winners

Jon Rahm (ranked 1st by Golf Predictor) won the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open on the European PGA Tour. The 24 year old Spaniard continued his love affair with Ireland by winning the event for the second time in three years. Trailing by seven shots in tied 38th place after Friday, Rahm roared home over the weekend with 64-62 to slice through the field and win by two shots. he was helped by some of his nearest challengers who fell back in the face of his onslaught. Rahm was our top ranked player and we only had eight of the top nineteen plus ties (8/22).

Matthew Wolff (ranked 2nd by Golf Predictor) won the inaugural 3M Open on the US PGA Tour. The 20 year old American rookie won his first tour title in only his third start as a pro. Wolff did it in style, eagling the last to edge out Bryson DeChambeau and fellow rookie Collin Morikawa by a single shot. Our top ranked player, Brooks Koepka, didn't really turn up in another regular tour event and finished in tied 65th. Overall, we had seven of the top fifteen plus ties (7/22) in this new event.

2019 - Week 27 Predictions/Statistics Online

The predictions and statistics for this week, the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open (European PGA Tour) and the 3M Open (US PGA Tour) are now available on Golf Predictor. The PGA Tour heads to Minnesota for another new tournament this week and there is a fairly decent field lined up in the Twin Cities area for the event. Meanwhile, here in Ireland, no Rory McIlroy this year, but new host Paul McGinley has managed to persuade some big names to Lahinch for the tournament.
