The 24 year old Spaniard continued his love affair with Ireland by winning the event for the second time in three years. Trailing by seven shots in tied 38th place after Friday, Rahm roared home over the weekend with 64-62 to slice through the field and win by two shots. he was helped by some of his nearest challengers who fell back in the face of his onslaught. Rahm was our top ranked player and we only had eight of the top nineteen plus ties (8/22).
Matthew Wolff (ranked 2nd by Golf Predictor) won the inaugural 3M Open on the US PGA Tour. The 20 year old American rookie won his first tour title in only his third start as a pro.
