J.T. Poston (ranked 87th by Golf Predictor) won the Wyndham Championship on the US PGA Tour. The 26 year old American
won his first tour title with an impressive display at Sedgefield Country Club. Poston became the first player since Lee Trevino in 1974 to win a tournament by going bogey free. Poston was in a final day battle with Byeong Hun An, who was also bogey free for the week until the fifteenth on Sunday. That bogey gave Poston some breathing space and when An also bogeyed the final hole, he fell to third behind tournament favourite Webb Simpson. Simpson was our top ranked player and in an event where many of the bigger names failed to perform, we had six of the top nineteen plus ties (6/21) in total.
