2020 - Week 4 Winners

Lucas Herbert (ranked 65th by Golf Predictor) won the Omega Dubai Desert Classic on the European PGA Tour. The 24 year old Australian won his first European Tour tour title on Australia Day in Dubai. With many of the leaders struggling in the conditions on the tough layout, Herbert finished level with Christiaan Bezuidenhout after the duo shot best of the day 68s to finish on nine under par.  Herbert overcame a water ball on the first extra hole to salvage a par with a great wedge. That allowed him to take the title on the next with a two putt birdie after he got on the par five eighteenth in two. Our top ranked player, Tommy Fleetwood, started and finished poorly, but still finished tied 11th. Overall, we had eight of the top sixteen (8/22) in total in the testing conditions.

Marc Leishman (ranked 10th by Golf Predictor) won the Farmers Insurance Open on the US PGA Tour. The 36 year old Australian  made it a great Australia Day for professional golfers with an impressive closing round at Torrey Pines. Trailing Jon Rahm by four strokes overnight, Leishman shot a fine 65 (-7) to edge the slow starting and fast finishing Spaniard by a single shot. Rahm was our top ranked player and we had nine of the top sixteen plus ties (9/20) in total.
