2011 - Week 37 Winners

Thomas Bjorn (ranked 12th by Golf Predictor) won the Omega European Masters on the European PGA Tour. Despite missing the cut in twenty of his first twenty one events this season, the 40 year old Dane won his second event in a row and his third of a memorable season by finishing in style with a 62 (-9) for a four shot win. Our top ranked player, Lee Westwood finished in tied 6th and we had ten of the top sixteen plus ties (10/17) in total.

Web Simpson (ranked 36th by Golf Predictor) won the Deutsche Bank Championship on the US PGA Tour. The 26 year old American won his second tournament in the last three weeks by beating Chez Reavie on the second hole of a sudden death play-off. Reavie will be kicking himself though for bogeying the last from the fairway with a wedge in his hand. Our top ranked player, Luke Donald, finished in tied 3rd and we had ten of the top sixteen plus ties (10/20).
