Andrea Pavan (ranked 29th by Golf Predictor) won the D+D REAL Czech Masters on the European PGA Tour. The 29 year old Italian won his first tour title in an exciting final day battle with veteran Padraig Harrington. Trailing Harrington by two shots after thirteen holes, Pavan finished strongly to overhaul the Irishman and win by two shots in the end. Harrington will rue a missed short par putt on the fifteenth that helped Pavan's cause at a crucial time. Our top ranked player, Thomas
Pieters, finished 9th and we had eight of the top eighteen plus ties (8/23) in total.
Bryson DeChambeau (ranked 27th by Golf Predictor) won The Northern Trust on the US PGA Tour. The 24 year old American won his third tour title with an assured performance in New Jersey. Leading by four shots overnight after a brilliant 63 (-8) on Saturday, DeChambeau was never put under pressure on Sunday and coasted to his second win of the season. In doing so, he laid down a marker for a place on the US Ryder Cup team. Our top ranked player, Justin Rose, missed the cut and despite many of the stellar field not performing, we had nine of the top twenty plus ties (9/24) in total.
