Ernie Els (ranked 14th by Golf Predictor) won his first US PGA Tour title since 2008 at the WGC-CA Championship in Florida. The Big Easy finished with a 66 (-6) for a 4 shot victory over compatriot Charl Schwartzel. Our top ranked player, Phil Mickelson, finished in tied 14th place and we had six of the top sixteen plus ties (6/17) in total.
In the lesser US PGA Tour event, the Puerto Rico Open, Derek Lamely (ranked 40th by Golf Predictor) became the first rookie since Marc Turnesa in 2008 to win. Our top ranked player, Jeev Milkha Singh, finished in tied 24th and we had six of the top seventeen plus ties (6/23) in total.
