Jim Furyk (ranked 14th by Golf Predictor) followed Ernie Els' lead last week and ended his US PGA Tour title drought at the Transitions Championship. Although starting Sunday with a three shot cushion, the man with the best ugliest swing in golf, ended up winning by a single shot from K.J. Choi (ranked 14th*) for his first victory in almost three years. Our top ranked player, Steve Stricker, finished in tied 8th place and we had eight of the top thirteen plus ties (8/15)* in total.
On the European PGA Tour, Rhys Davies (ranked 7th by Golf Predictor) secured his maiden tour title at the Trophée Hassan II in Morocco. The young Welshman overcame a two shot deficit with a final round 66 (-7) to win by two from Louis Oosthuizen (ranked 2nd). Our top ranked player, Francesco Molinari, finished in tied 10th and we had seven of the top fifteen plus ties (7/18) in total.
*Vijay Singh didn't play so K.J. Choi is promoted to 14th and Stephen Ames to 15th.
