2010 - Week 16 Winners

A revitalised Phil Mickelson (ranked 2nd by Golf Predictor) ended a four year wait for his fourth major title at the enthralling US Masters in Augusta. Despite a poor start to the season, the 39 year old American turned on the fireworks over the weekend to end Lee Westwood's hopes of a first major. There were emotional scenes afterwards as Mr. and Mrs. Mickelson shared one of the longest televised hugs in TV history! Our top ranked player, Tiger Woods, finished in an almost amazing tied 4th place, despite struggling with his game after a five month lay off. Overall, we had five of the top ten plus ties (5/11).

On the European PGA Tour, James Morrison (ranked 10th by Golf Predictor) won the second string Madeira Islands Open BPI. The 25 year old English man held off a charging Oliver Fisher to win by a single shot in the end. Our top ranked player, Richie Ramsay, finished in tied 58th, despite being the highest ranked golfer in the field by a country mile. We had six of the top thirteen plus ties (6/18) in total.
