Jim Furyk (ranked 2nd by Golf Predictor) put his poor Masters showing behind him with victory in the Verizon Heritage on the US PGA Tour. Furyk beat Brian Davis in a playoff after the noble Englishman called a penalty on himself. Despite no one else noticing any infraction, Davis reported an incident in a green side hazard that cost him a two shot penalty and a chance of the title. Our top ranked player, Paul Casey, finished in tied 22nd and in an event where many big names failed to perform, we had six of the top fourteen plus ties (6/21).
On the European PGA Tour, Y.E. Yang (ranked 2nd by Golf Predictor) followed up his good Masters showing with a long trip and a two shot victory in the Volvo China Open! The 38 year old US PGA Champion played solid golf in windy and damp conditions, going 50 holes without a bogey. Unfortunately, he ruined that impressive streak on the very last hole! Our top ranked player, Henrik Stenson, finished in tied 8th and we had seven of the top eight plus ties (7/15) in total.
