The predictions/statistics for this week, the
WGC - Cadillac Championship (European/US PGA Tour) and the Puerto Rico
Open pres. by seepuertorico.com (US PGA Tour), are now available on Golf Predictor. All eyes will be on young Rory McIlroy and his tooth after his meltdown last week. It remains to be seen if he can turn his form (or dental health) around in such a short period of time, so picking him to win this week might be a tad risky! The aforementioned meltdown has been factored into the rankings this week. Without this adjustment, McIlroy would have been the top ranked golfer by a significant margin on hard stats alone. However, hard stats do not reflect state of mind, so it made sense to take mental fragility into account on this occasion.
While almost the big names (including the entire top fifty in the world rankings again this year) will be teeing it up at Doral, it's the usual second string line up for the Puerto Rican tournament. However, this year, the double major winner Angel Cabrera will be joined in the field by his son, Angel Junior. That might make Sunday afternoon interesting if both are challenging for the honours!

I have re-run the predictions for the WGC - Cadillac Championship due to some late field additions, e.g. Michael Thompson & Geoff Ogilvy.
