2013 - Week 12 Winners

Louis Oosthuizen (ranked 24th by Golf Predictor) won the Maybank Malaysian Open on the European PGA Tour. The 23 year old Thai won his maiden tour title by one shot in the weather shortened 54 hole event. Our top ranked player, Luke Donald, disappointingly missed the cut for the first time in a regular tour event after making the long journey from Florida. I'm sure the trip was still worth his while though! Overall, we had eight of the top seventeen plus ties (8/21) in the truncated event.

Tiger Woods (ranked 1st by Golf Predictor) won the Arnold Palmer Invitational pres. by Mastercard on the US PGA Tour. The fourteen time major champion grabbed his third win of the season and a remarkable eighth victory at the event. Mother Nature also had a hand in this tournament, forcing a Monday finish after high winds and heavy rain halted play on Sunday. However, Woods, who was leading by three shots when play was halted, was not to be denied the 99th win of his professional career, duly completing the job with two shots to spare. That should set him up nicely for a tilt at another green jacket in two weeks time! Including the winner (and the runner up!), we had eleven of the top twenty one plus ties (11/26)*.

*Due to withdrawals etc,. Walker is promoted to the top 26 in the rankings.
