Tiger Woods (ranked 1st by Golf Predictor) won the WGC - Bridgestone Invitational on the European/US PGA Tour. The world number one won this title for the eight time with an emphatic display. After flirting with a 59 on Friday (but settling for a 61), Woods coasted home on the weekend to close within three of Sam Snead's record of 82 PGA Tour wins. Including the winner, we had eight of the top nineteen plus ties (8/20) in total.
Gary Woodland (ranked 35th by Golf Predictor) won the Reno-Tahoe Open on the US PGA Tour. The 29 year old American secured his second tour win with a nine point win over Andres Romero and the charging Jonathan Byrd in the modified Stableford event. Our top ranked player, Padraig Harrington, missed the cut, but we had nine of the top twenty three plus ties (9/25).
