Rory McIlroy (ranked 4th by Golf Predictor) won the BMW PGA Championship on the European PGA Tour. The 25 year old Northern Irishman put his very recent personal troubles and dislike of the Wentworth course behind him to record his first win on the European Tour in exactly eighteen months. Our top ranked player, Henrik Stenson, finished in tied 7th and we had seven of the top sixteen plus ties (7/20).
Adam Scott (ranked 2nd by Golf Predictor) won the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial on the US PGA Tour. The 33 year old Australian overcame a sluggish start to win his first tour event as world number one. Scott won with an impressive birdie on the third extra hole against Jason Dufner. Our top ranked player, Matt Kuchar, surprisingly missed the cut, but we had ten of the top fourteen plus ties (10/20).
