2014 - Week 18 Winners

Felipe Aguilar (ranked 34th by Golf Predictor) won The Championship at Laguna National on the European PGA Tour. The 39 year old Chilean won his second tour title with a fantastic back nine on the final day. Aquilar came home in 28 (-8), including a two-two finish to win by a single shot on -23. In doing so, he became the first person to win on the main European Tour with a hole out on the last. Our top ranked player, Bernd Wiesberger, finished in tied 38th and in an event where many of the relatively big names didn't perform, we had five of the top seventeen plus ties (5/19).

J.B. Holmes (ranked 33rd by Golf Predictor) won the Wells Fargo Championship on the US PGA Tour. The 32 year old big hitting American won his first title since his brain surgery in 2011 and his third overall with a nervy finish on the Green Mile. Leading by three shots with the three difficult holes to play, Holmes chopped it up the last and managed to hole his bogey putt for a one shot victory. Our top ranked player, Rory McIlroy, finished in tied 8th and we had seven of the top eighteen plus ties (7/22) in total.
