The first week of the 2010 US PGA Tour saw Geoff Ogilvy (ranked 2nd by Golf Predictor) win the 2009 winners junket, aka the SBS Championship for the second year in a row. That's a great habit he's developing there to get his seasons off to flying starts! Our top ranked player, Steve Stricker, finished strongly to end up in tied 10th, but we had eight of the top ten plus ties (8/13) in total.
Meanwhile, in the latest European PGA Tour event held in South Africa, Charl Schwartzel (ranked 1st by Golf Predictor) won the Africa Open for his fourth tour title. Schwartzel prevailed with a closing 67 (-6) to win by a single shot from Thomas Aiken. Including the winner, we had four of the top eight plus ties (4/12) in total.
Not a bad start to the season proper for Golf Predictor - almost predicting both winners!
