2010 - Week 27 Winners

Bubba Watson (ranked 17th by Golf Predictor) finally won on the US PGA Tour the at the Travelers Championship. The big hitting lefthander came from six shots back to win over short hitting righthander Corey Pavin and Scott Verplank. Long time leader Justin Rose withered badly to fall to tied 9th after a closing 75 (+5). Our top ranked player, Kenny Perry, finished in tied 74th, but we had ten of the top thirteen plus ties (10/20).

On the European PGA Tour, David Horsey (ranked 89th by Golf Predictor) also came from behind to win the BMW International Open. The English man came from five shots back after his third 67 in a row to secure his first tour title. Both long time leader Bradley Dredge and Pablo Larrazabal double bogeyed the 16th to finish two back, while Ross Fisher, showing a welcome return to form, finished with an eagle to vault into second place. Our top ranked player, Ernie Els, missed the cut and was one of the many big names who bit off more than he could chew by flying in directly from the US Open, some nine or ten timezones away. That was one reason why we only had two of the top nine plus ties (2/10) in total. A good tournament for the bookies then!
