Hunter Mahan (ranked 15th by Golf Predictor) won the WGC - Accenture Match Play Championship on the European/US PGA Tour. The 29 year old American thwarted Rory McIlroy's bid to reach the top of the world rankings by defeating the Northern Irish man 3&2 in the final. Mark Wilson defeated Lee Westwood 2&1 in the third place play-off.
John Huh (ranked 25th by Golf Predictor) won the Mayakoba Golf Classic on the US PGA Tour. The 21 year old rookie finished strongly with a 63 (-8) to force a play-off with Robert Allenby, who double bogeyed the last in regulation to deny himself outright victory. The young American prevailed against the seasoned pro on the eighth play-off hole to secure his maiden title in only his fifth start on tour. Our top ranked player, Spencer Levin, finished in tied 34th and we had eight of the top sixteen plus ties (8/25).
