Paul Lawrie (ranked 17th by Golf Predictor) won the Commercialbank Qatar Masters pres. by Dolphin Energy on the European PGA Tour. The 43 year old Scot played some of the best golf of his career in the difficult conditions to secure his seventh tour title. Lawrie finished in some style with a 65 (-7) to win the wind shortened event by four shots. Our top ranked player, Lee Westwood, finished tied 12th and we had eight of the top twelve (8/19) in total.
Kyle Stanley (ranked 7th by Golf Predictor) won the Waste Management Phoenix Open on the US PGA Tour. One week after his unfortunate final hole collapse, Stanley showed admirable resolve to rally from eight shots back and bounce back in style. However, it's Spencer Levin's turn to be sickened this week as he blew a record equalling six shot final round lead with a closing 75 (+4) to finish third. Our top ranked player, Webb Simpson, finished in tied 8th and we had six of the top fifteen plus ties (6/18).
