In the name of science, Padraig Harrington tried out the 'Happy Gilmore' swing (notable for its run up to the ball)! Unbelievably, as shown below, it works and Padraig hit it an extra 30 yards. Even more unbelievably, his swing was almost identical to his conventional tee shot. While we don't know how many takes he needed to hit it flush, we here at Golf Predictor are planning on incorporating a sprint from the back of the tee box into our pre-shot routine from now on!!
