2011 - Week 33 Winners

Adam Scott (ranked 18th by Golf Predictor) won the WGC - Bridgestone Invitational on the European/US PGA Tour. The 31 year old  Australian eased to the first WGC victory of his career, birdieing the last to finish four clear of the field. The win was particularly sweet for his new caddie, Stevie Williams, who promptly gave his former employer a 'subtle' dig, claiming it to be the best caddying  week of his life! Our top ranked player, Luke Donald, rallied well over the weekend to finish in tied 2nd and we had eight of the top nineteen plus ties (8/20) in total.

Scott Piercy (ranked 24th by Golf Predictor) won the Reno-Tahoe Open on the US PGA Tour. The 32 year old American made hard work of it on the last day, but rolled in a 7 foot par putt on the last to win his maiden tour title by a shot. Our top ranked player, Robert Garrigus, finished in tied 38th, but we had ten of the top twenty one plus ties (10/24)*.

*There were three withdrawals above him, so Steve Elkington gets promoted into the top 24 in the rankings.
