European's Ryder Cup team got a timely boost for next week's battle when Mr Ultra Consistent, Robert Karlsson (ranked 2 by Golf Predictor), finally got into the winners enclosure. Having got into the Ryder Cup team with his 9 top ten finishes this season, Karlsson finally came good in the Mercedes Benz Championship in Germany today. Maybe now he'll finally break into the world top 20!
Our top pick, Miguel Angel Jimenez, finished strongly with a fine 66 to tie for third. We also had another consistent player, Soren Hanson, in the top ten and 9 out of the top 20 in total.
