2013 - Week 22 Winners

Mikko Ilonen (ranked 15th by Golf Predictor) won the Nordea Masters on the European PGA Tour. The 33 year old Finn ended his six year title drought by comfortably closing out the victory in Sweden. Leading by two shots after the third round, Ilonen was never troubled on the final day and ended up winning by three after a closing 69 (-3). Our top ranked player, Peter Hanson, finished in 30th and we had nine of the top fourteen plus ties (9/19)

Matt Kuchar (ranked 3rd by Golf Predictor) won the Memorial Tournament pres. by Nationwide Insurance on the US PGA Tour. The 34 year old American won his sixth tour title in the testing conditions at Muirfield Village. Like Ilonen, Kuchar was never really troubled on the final day, even if runner-up Kevin Chappell did finish strongly with four birdies in his final six holes. Our top ranked player, Tiger Woods, bucked his recent hot streak with a poor performance. Despite multiple wins this season and at this tournament, Woods had three triple bogeys and sett his career high score for nine holes (44) in the third round. He eventually finished in tied 65th, but he wasn't the only big name to misfire. World number two, Rory McIlroy, had another poor week, barely scraped into the weekend. Overall, we had just five of the top sixteen plus ties (5/19).
