Snippet of new Compare Form (Groups) page for the second group in the 2013 US Open |
- As the golfers in each group are predetermined, there is no need for a 'Compare' button on the new 'Compare Field Rank' page. Simply selecting a different group in the dropdown list will result in the prediction data being updated to show the information for the new group.
- There is a 'Compare Group' button on the 'Compare Form' page as you must select a metric (finishing position, round scores, made cut and finishing score) and a scope (chronologically, on the same course/in the same tournament and in similar events).
- For any other match-ups not involving members of the same tee-off group, you will have to continue to use the original 'Compare Field Rank'/'Compare Form' pages.
- The group information for a tournament will be available from when the tee-off information is inputted until when the results for one of the tournaments that week are inputted into the database. This will generally be from Tuesday evening to Sunday evening (GMT) of the tournament week.
- Only the tee-off groups for the first two rounds (assuming a normal event with the cut after two rounds) with will be entered into the system. Groups for the weekend rounds will not be inputted at this point.
- The Member section menus have had to be updated to reflect the addition of these new pages. The 'Prediction' menu now has four Compare links, two for comparing predictions and field rankings for up to to ten golfers and their two tee-off group equivalents. The 'Form' menu similarly now has two Compare Form options.
- You may have to reload your current Golf Predictor page to see these new "Compare Groups" menu options.
Just
another way to make Golf Predictor even better! These new pages will greatly assist in analysing tee group match-ups for an
event. The screenshot above shows the Compare Form (Tee-off Groups) for the second group for the 2013 US Open.
This group contains Nicolas Colsaerts, Dustin Johnson and Bubba Watson and their results in their previous ten majors is shown in the table as a result of the dropdown choices. As with the
original Compare Form page, hovering over a T1-T10 cell in the table
shows more information in a pop-up. This is shown above for Bubba Watson for his second place in the 2010 US PGA Championship.
As each
group contains golfers with varying GP rankings, only subscribers can use these
