Using the standard deviation (SD) information in Golf Predictor,
it is possible to see who were the most/least consistent performers
in the 2011 season on the European/US PGA Tours*. Steve Stricker retained the mantle of most
consistent golfer from 2010, improving his already impressive performance in this regard by about 30%. Indeed, Stricker was the most consistent of any golfer who played at least five tournaments in 2011, nevermind those who played fifteen events. The top five consistent
golfers in 2011 were:
All of these golfers were consistently good, especially Luke Donald, as can be seen from his average result. At the other end of the scale, the top five most inconsistent golfers in 2011 were:
