Rory McIlroy won't be the youngest pro teeing it up in the Masters this year following the announcement by the green blazers that the young Japanese sensation, Ryo Ishikawa, has been given one of the international invitations.
Ishikawa-san is only 17 years and four months but is already a seasoned pro. He is currently number 5 on the Japanese money list, the youngest ever to win a tournament on a major tour (when he was a mere 15!) and the youngest pro ever to break into the world top 100. He's currently ranked 60th, so he could still make the Masters under his own steam. Not a bad record for someone not technically a man yet!
We here at Golf Predictor say gambatte kudasai (good luck/do your best) to Ishikawa-san!
